The Opel pedigree has been produced and flown for 51 long years, using a unique formula. It is impossible to describe the entire record, but if I had to describe it in a few words, I would say that "J. L. Opel was invincible", which is the highest praise I can give him. Opel's pedigree means "a pedigree of excellent pigeons that keep flying until the end.He succeeded in introducing a pigeon with the best pedigree in a way that no one had ever thought of before by using the unique method.
This was based on the words of the late Mr. L. F. Curtis (senior to the late Mr. Maurice Gordon): "If you want a pigeon, don't ask about the price. If you want the best pigeon, you have to pay what they say”.
As a result of my research into the American pigeon world at that time, it turned out that all the long-distance winners and powerful pigeon loft had Janssen lines in them.
Pigeons with Janssen pedigree are elegant, noble, and complete. Inbred pigeons can continue to produce many wonderful and elegant racing pigeons, often from poor pigeons.

The Unique No. 3 has flown the 1300 km race twice. If we trace this pigeon back to the source, the names of Opel's great pigeons, including the Keepsake, will be lined up. Finally, we come to the source pigeon of the Opel pigeon loft, the "Old Slate". This pigeon has been around for about 80 years, and the “Unique 331" and “Unique 8100" were produced based on this pigeon. And the existing pure Opel pigeons of 2021 have inherited a time span of over 100 years.
